A CSA farm box is a way for organic farmers like us at Blue Sky and our local community to help each other. The way it works is that participating members who sign up for the CSA program receive local and organic naturally grown produce either weekly or every other week. Because the produce is directly from our farm, it is fresher and longer-lasting! Meanwhile, we at Blue Sky receive consistent monetary support through our community members’ continued CSA subscription. It also helps eliminate food waste and prevents the miscalculation of needed product. Overall, CSA programs encourage improved food security in our state, support farmland preservation efforts, and promote greater biodiversity.
